We arrived with a combined family of 12 including 5 children and between everyone tried a good selection of dishes across the compact menu. Without fail every one turned out to be totally delicious as was the local wine. There's a good selection from across France with 5 or 6 local choices, plus the place doubles up as a wine shop to take some bottles away. Personally I had the rack of lamb with was cooked to perfection, portion size was spot on. We had the Chateau Thebaud from the Loire which was absolutely fab from a small producer. If you're going with kids just make sure they're quite well behaved. The front of house took a little bit of warming up to (hence I suspect some other comments about appearing a bit rude) but once you get his dry humour he's actually very funny!

A charming restaurant in a delightful location. The service was friendly, knowledgeable and very efficient. The cooking was assured and inventive. The only slight disappointment was the veal kidneys that were slightly overcooked, HOWEVER, I think the problem was that a few minutes before the course was about to be served, one of the diners asked for the serving to be delayed whilst they finished their cigarette, this probably lead to the only glitch in an otherwise perfect meal. The wines were carefully chosen and served expertly. I will certainly make the effort to return there.

I'm from Seattle, Washington and was visiting friends who live in the area (Oudon). We decided to visit this spectacular restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised to see a vegetarian menu with options that were interesting and creative. I had the poached eggs in apricot sauce. Both friends had the pigeon. The meal was prepared with simple elegance. But, the most important aspect of our evening was the excellent service we received. I was blown away by the attention to detail and immediacy. It made for a very special and memorable evening.

On a series of hit summer evenings, we enjoyed our experience here. A chilled salmon and cucumber dish cooled us immediately followed by the best sea bass I’ve ever had. This husband/wife team provide a welcoming delicious and artistic evening. We wished we had more nights in Le Cellier due to this lovely neighborhood restaurant.
