I have not reviewed restaurants lately but must review this one and not only because of some late reviews which I find absolutely absurd. Le Clos des sens is the best restaurant I have discovered this year, thanks to friends who live in Haute Savoie.The decor is very nice , elegant and welcoming. I had hoped to have lunch on the terrace. The surprisingly cold and rainy weather decided on the restaurant indoors.The absolute quality of the meal convinced me that this was the better alternative.The tables are nicely spaced, the decor totally in line with a two star restaurant.Where to start the review ? Probably with the staff. They are young, most in their twenties, smart, courteous and helpful. And " madame " is very present throughout the lunch while the chef makes occasional visits. The sommelier was most helpful. I have rarely seen a sommelier his age describing with such precision and clarity the white wine from Savoie which he thought would be a good choice for the menu we had chosen. To convince me that an Apremont wine deserved a place on their wine list was difficult but he was so enthusiastic about the Masson wine that I accepted his recommendation. He was so right.For lunch we settled on the 70 euros PETIT déjeuner , an amazing combination of a crayfish creation, a surprising fennel ( fenouil ) , a brochet du lac and a marvelous tarte fine chicorée maison. The various amuse bouche were all treasures of creativity.A lunch for four with 4 glasses of champagne, an excellent bottle of white wine, water and coffee for less than 500 euros in two star restaurant is simply amazing. We will be back as often as we will be in Annecy. Cela vaut le détour !
