Le Clos Saint Martin

The restaurant is set in a beautiful old building in Coutens just 5 minutes drive west from Mirepoix. The set lunch menu is 15euro and there is also a vegetarian set menu and a la carte choices. There is no car park but it's easy to park along the side road and there are some spaces in a pull in on the main road too. Service is friendly and efficient with the owner offering my husband an option of chicken as he didn't want the fish for main course. I did have the fish which was haddock served on haricot beans in a coconut sauce and was delicious. Ce restaurant est incroyable. Il est situé sur la route principale de Mirepoix dans les Pyrénées centrales et ressemble à une jolie auberge, mais une fois que vous y mangez, vous découvrez une qualité d'étoile Michelin ! La nourriture est fantastique et coûte environ 25 livres par personne pour trois plats et du vin. Le service est impeccable, le cadre moderne et accueillant, et la nourriture à tomber par terre. Nous n'avons trouvé aucune publicité à ce sujet - veuillez visiter pour soutenir le talentueux chef. Il n'est ouvert que le vendredi et le samedi pour le dîner, mais du lundi au dimanche pour le déjeuner.

Visited with friends and we all had the Plat du Jour. Starter was a fabulous clear soup, never really fancied clear soup before, but really pleased we had this a tasty perfect starter. Followed by a pork steak with potatoes the park was as tender as tender could be and succulent served with a stickyish Terriyaki sauce, the potatoes were good. The dessert was a lovely lemon and ginger cheesecake type mouse, just enough to to finish off the meal. The restaurant is very nicely furnished and decorated. Staff made us feel comfortable and welcome. I think you will enjoy your lunch at this restaurant.

Went there for lunch, first time since the restaurant changed owners. We had the "menu du jour" which was fish as entrée and main course. Very tasty and well presented. Dessert fresh pineapple with cream. Great stuff. Coffee included. All that for €14. Wine was good (Dom. Le Fort) and the bread was excellent (Rieucros). We will be back..... Having eaten out around the area, we were delighted and very impressed after our lunch here. As a party of four, two appreciated the set menu and two selected from the carte. The set menu was great value for money, the flavours and the presentation were excellent, all enjoyed by a very reasonable priced wine.

Sure to be popular in the summer with its garden seating. Too cold at this time of year but warm and cosy inside. Six of us chose the set meal of the day and all three courses could not be faulted. Everything was tasty and great value at 14€. Would recommend and would return if I lived in the area

This was my second visit to Le Clos, the food and service is great. The ambience and decor is also very nice. I can also highly recommend the weekday set lunch. Will definitely return again. Merci beaucoup.

J'ai eu un excellent repas ici. Excellente sélection de vins et personnel très sympathique. La nourriture est fraîche, de saison et axée sur les ingrédients. Qualité plutôt que quantité. Réservez une table maintenant

The best €15 lunch anywhere. Well appointed restaurant, good service, delicious, interesting menu more than a cut above the rest. We'll be back soon to try their other menus.
