Le Coquelicot - Réserver une table

We stopped in Dieulefit looking for a light lunch.This creperie is on the main road as you approach from Nyons.At first it does not strike you as a must stop and eat kind of place, but you should.As soon as I saw the chef/owner appear with a freshly cooked galette, we asked for a table.It was quite late but he was happy to serve us.We ate outside on a decking platform with an eclectic mix of furniture feeling we were back in the sixties! My wife had a galette and I had the plat du jour, a salad of chicken livers with a raspberry vinegarette.They were both excellent, freshly cooked and very tasty.A carafe of chilled rose was the same price I had paid for a glass the day before.For freshly cooked tasty food and outstanding value , it would be hard to beat

This place is a one-man show and the owner is delightful. There are a range of crêpe and non-crêpe based options which he cooks in a tiny kitchen. We enjoyed a carafe of wine which was tasty. My fiancé had the steak tartare normal (there is a spiced version! which was incredible. I went for one of the savoury crêpes which was nice but so salty that I got through several glasses of water. For the ambience and the steak tartare we would definitely go back!

If you are looking for a really small, authentic ,very good Bistro/crèperie full of typical atmosphere artfully ceramic plates, stylish pictures on the walls and a cook 's/waiter 's/sommelier 's one man show , this is a Must. Try the Tartare de boeuf , it 's fantastic and the mouthwatering burgers and crèpes!

L'accueil est chaleureux et très sympathique. Malheureusement, la qualité des plats n'est pas au rendez-vous. Le rapport qualité prix n'est pas bon.
