Le Corner's Pub - Réserver une table

Expected it to be more of a pub but in reality it is really a cafe/restaurant that serves alcohol. We were greeted warmly and served quickly at the bar, then we decided to choose from the menu. We opted for the veggie burger and asked to remove the cheese and egg, after 3 attempts the correct dish was delivered to the table - this is not a criticism as the burger was delicious and the chips quite tasty, this is a reminder that if you are vegan you need to make sure the order is taken correctly because the chef (and understandably so) is on automatic and just puts the items on without thinking. Stopped in for lunch under the shady awning.The owner - we assumed he was the owner- is a very jocular fellow. He spoke English well for us Aussies. He insisted we try the local beer Ch'ti which was very good.We had a cesear salad with chicken, & a dozen snails. I'm not a fan of snails, so I won't comment on them, but the sauce, garlicky with fresh herbs was delicious. My husband enjoyed them. The salad was good, I had the "petite" size & it was plenty for lunch. A carafe of rose` Great little spot, good food & entertaining host. Affordable.

Sometimes when travelling alone I find it intimidating to walk into a busy restaurant. But as soon as I entered Le Corner Pub the owner showed me to a table and I received prompt and courteous service. The food reminded me of "home cooking"If you find yourself in Albert sometime,I recommend a visit to this restaurant.

Decided to stop here for lunch. Fancied a hamburger, selected the House burger ( burger de maison). Great choice, quickly served and plenty of fries. Very enjoyable. Washed down with a draught beer and a large white coffee, (café grand crème). All for 14.50€, thoroughly recommended

Not too many places to eat in Albert so really pleased to find Le Corner Really good food and welcoming host. Recommended
