We were travelling through France and the hotel recommended this bar/bistro. We were both tired from travelling and just ordered plat du jour and drinks. Starter was quiche and salad...really delicious. Light mouth watering quiche and salad with a mustard dressing. Main meal came and it was fish...I am seriously allergic to fish and asked could I have anything meat...absolutely no problem. My partner ate his fish...it was cuttlefish in parsley and he said it was beautiful. My burger was hand made and tasty and the creme caramel we chose for dessert was large and delicious...lived up to its name. Will eat here again when next in Millau. Well recommended.

.. the restaurant just off the town centre of Millau is a little gem. Staffed by friendly, helpful "little bit English speaking" staff they provide good wholesome typical French food at very reasonable prices. My companions and I were getting desperate for something to eat having arrived in Millau at the wrong end of lunch time and were immediately shown to a table in the upstairs room. Our young waitress was most pleasant and was able to help us through the menu. Goat's cheese salad, saucisse and aligot followed by dessert and coffee plus some beers, for 5 people all for 50 euros or so. Excellent

We came when lunch time was ending so we were just happy this place was still serving. Have had a lot of menus of the day we were kind of over the big lunch and needing a break elected to go with one dish of the menu. We ended up both going with duck and it was amazing, falling of the bone, rich sauce and a generous serving. The staff didn't know English but with our little French we managed to get through the menu. The our waitress was friendly and above all patient with us. Price I would say was mid range but considering the portion size I thought it was a bargain.

We had lunch in the upstairs restaurant. The dish of the day which was beautifully slow cooked lamb and followed it with Tarte Au Citron and Tarte Tatin. The apple pie was utterly delicious, the pastry crisp, the apples soft but still with a touch of crunch. Service was good though without a word of English so a good place to practice your language skills. Definitely recommend it.
