This is a lovely place, ideal for a stopover. Yes, as previously mentioned, the hotel rooms are modern, but they are warm and spotlessly clean, ours had a wonderful view of the river and waterwheel. We stayed on Christmas Eve and ate in the restaurant. Traditional French cuisine, lots of locals enjoying the ambience. Service was fabulous, the 3 waiters/waitresses made carrying plates of food and trays of drinks up the curved wooden staircase look easy.Breakfast was more than adequate, good selection and plenty of it.We will certainly return to this lovely hotel.

If you are deciding to pop over to France for the day and want to sample some superb French cuisine, then look no further. Just 25 minutes in the car from the channel tunnel this restaurant will not disappoint you! Very friendly staff who have excellent English so no worries there and beautiful food. There are set price menus for three, four, five and seven course meals (you chose your dishes from the main menu). A fantastic evening!

We felt a little "cheated" when we arrived as most of the photographs featured on the website showed the wonderfully characterful building that the restaurant is in. The hotel rooms, by comparison are in a more modern building and are rather "bijou"...While comfortable, we didn't feel that they were "value for money" and in keeping with the standards of the adjoining restaurant.

Stayed here for one night before our return to Calais and then London. Our room was spacious and clean and looked right over the duck and goose filled stream. A buffet breakfast was supplied which was more than adequate for our needs. We had had dinner in the adjoining restaurant which was housed in a old mill and which was also good.
