We’ve been coming to La Plagne for 7 years and finally they have altered the button lift from the Bergerie so that you can visit Le Dou du Praz on Ski’s. Not worth the effort. We arrived at the end of lunch, sat at a table and waited, and waited. We popped inside to see if it was order taken inside, and were told someone would be over to our table. We waited, and waited… there were plenty of staff, serving French people, but not English. Finally after 25 mins we got served, we only waited that long because the kids were happy in the snow. Finished our first drink and waited… and waited, got the attention of waitress, she went inside and then served some other tables. In the end we walked out. 1 1/2 of our lives we won’t get back. As we left the waitress came over and started apologising, to little, too late. We’ll not be going again
Dropped in for lunch before dog sled experience. I’d seen some negative reports but thought we’d give it a go I’m so glad we did. We were a large group of 10 but the staff quickly rearranged a corner for us so we could all sit together. Beautifully cooked local food, with friendly and welcoming staff. So good some of us went back the next day! Short walk up from caravan park at top end of Plagne Villages, over Ecarte Piste and 10 minutes across the snow on defined path, so great place to meet up with any non skiers. Really recommend you pay a visit. Stunning views and freshly prepared good food. I’ll certainly be back.
Huge improvement over the previous owner, but... Went twice since the beginning of the season.... First time was really nice: service was nice, the food pretty good. For our second visit, we were assigned to a waitress that was completely inefficient and on top of that gave us a pretty rude answer when we dared to make a remark. To my view, service is as important as the food.. will spend my money for the rest of the season elsewhere.
This is terrible for service- I can’t comment on the food as ours hadn’t come after an hour. We paid for our drinks and left. I was told ‘paper got lost’. Problem with that is that is was all electronic!!! Is it between are English? All the French got served. Strongly advise to avoid it
