We went on Bastille day hoping to have a special meal on a special day. How wrong we were! We arrived and were pointed to our table rather than being shown. A little bit off we thought. We waited a long time to have the order taken by a waitress who was surly and rolled her eyes when we placed our order. One of the party had an entree the rest didn't. By the time we got to our main course we had been there for over 1 1.5 hours. The entree and desserts were nice but the main course did not justify the price and were very disappointing.. General view was that it was overpriced for what we had, the staff didn't want to be there and we felt very unwelcome. Shame. This is supposed to be one of the top restaurants here and it did not live up to its reputation.

I was also a member of the party there on Bastille night. The food, when it arrived, was passable but not outstanding. The service however was absolutely appalling. The waitress was surly, rolling her eyes and tutting at us because one of smoked salmon entree arrived in just about an acceptable time. There was then a 50 minute wait for the two fish mains, followed by a further 30 minute wait for the Lamb mains.Desserts were generally regarded as acceptable. What should have been a pleasant evening allowing six friends to meet and enjoy good food and wine in delightful surroundings turned into a farce. This restaurant's reputation as one of the best in the area is ill founded in my opinion. There are much better establishments only moments away.

It's a nice little place by the river. I would recommend booking a table in advance so you get to sit by the water. The food was really nice. Both my partner and I had lamb but cooked differently and it just melted in the mouth. The dessert was delicious with fresh strawberries and the plate of goat's cheeses was served with a local honey that was like nothing we'd ever tasted before. We were recommended a local rose wine which really complemented the food. This restaurant serves delicious food in a simple, friendly environment. No fuss, let the food do the talking.

Situated by the rover Aveyron, lovely view on town and river, especially on river terrace (requires timely reservation). Menu varies, excellent food, very friendly, hospitality way above usual in France. We liked it a lot. About the food: we had lamb and pork dishes, really outstanding quality meat and perfect cuisson. Vegetables could have been more plentiful, but this is meat country. Wine list is compact, mostly inexpensive but the Luberon we chose was excellent. Don't skip the desserts, They are a real treat!
