I discovered this excellent little local restaurant on Tripadvisor. It's only a short drive from junction 5 of the E62/N249 road. My wife, daughter and I had an excellent lunch here a five course lunch is available for only 13 Euros (salad, smoked salmon, main course, cheese, dessert... and a dish of the day for only 8.50 Euros! The building itself dates from the 1960s/70s and does look a bit dated: the lime green painted interior and false ceiling doesn't exactly enhance the atmosphere, but these shortcomings are minor given that the food and service are both good. My wife and I both had the steak, which was perfect. There were a lot of local people having lunch a very egalitarian mix with workmen, businessmen, pensioners and many others. A wonderful place serving a community; it epitomises all that is good about unpretentious French cusine.
