Aller retour Roscoff-Cork et besoin de se restaurer pendant le voyage. La longue file d'attente de la cafétéria nous déprime et la vision des plats nous rapproche inexorablement vers ce restaurant à bord du Pont Aven.Pour les points positifs : l'accueil, le prix raisonnable si on dîne avec des enfants de - de 12 ans (équilibre de prix avec le menu adulte pour le même repas !!!), le coucher de soleil et le plat chaud, très correcte.Points à améliorer, les buffets d'entrées et de desserts sont tristes, pas tes originaux et les desserts vraiment pas terribles mais vu le nombre de convives, peut on espérer beaucoup mieux.Le plaisir de participer à la croisière améliore nettement la note globale...
We always try to sail to France on the Pont Aven, as Le Flora restaurant, perched aft at the top of the ship, is so elegant and relaxing. We ate off the buffet menu, so for starters we could choose from an enormous range of salads, meats, fish, langoustines, prawns, crab, rice, taboule, humus - which makes choosing very hard. It's also hard to avoid over-doing the starters and thus ruining one's appetite. We did though manage the mains, duck and lamb, generous portions and both excellent. We then had just enough room for a selection of cheeses. We drank a half bottle of Muscadet, a bottle of Crozes Hermitage, and bottled water. Ninety euros all in - great value for a super meal in such wonde...
Nous sommes de grands fans de Brittany Ferries mais nous aimons particulièrement la gastronomie avec service à bord du ferry Pont Aven. Ce voyage n'a pas fait exception. Je choisis toujours uniquement les entrées et les desserts, pas de plat principal. Cela signifie que vous pouvez vous régaler d'une grande assiette de fruits de mer, puis déguster un joli plateau de fromages et des desserts vraiment savoureux, le tout pour 18,50 £. Vous pouvez revenir pour une recharge si vous le désirez. La carte des vins est également excellente et, avec le statut actuel de l'euro, son rapport qualité-prix est encore meilleur. J'avais une demi-bouteille de bordeaux 2009 pour 10,90 £.
As the restaurant on board the Pont-Aven ferry on a sailing that took in 3 meal times, we were a little scepical about the restaurant at first. After all, passengers are pretty much a captive audience, although, of course, there are other restaurants on board. Our scepticism was misplaced however - everything about this restaurant was excellent. Superb food, efficient service from exceptionally hard-working waiting staff and elegant decor all contributed to a delightful evening. The meal came to less that we expected too - certainly less than one would expect to pay for similar quality in either Spain or Britain. Bravo, Le Flora!

If you are taking the ferry to Santander it's worth juggling your dates just to make sure you are on the Pont Aven to experience this restaurant An excellent buffet of the best seafood pate cheese and desserts at a reasonable price and an excellent wine list with some fine wines at fair prices Hot tip :Pay in sterling as Brittany Ferries have not adjusted their exchange rate post Brexit This also means serious bargains in the tax free shop
Le dîner au Flora sera un moment fort de la traversée du canal. Nous sommes allés au restaurant avec des enfants, de retour d'Irlande. Même si ce n'est pas donné, vous découvrirez certainement une cuisine typiquement française, avec beaucoup de choix, des fruits de mer, de la viande, des salades, des fromages comme... Vous n'avez jamais goûté, des gâteaux en tout genre, et un personnel très sympa.
When travelling to France we invariably now choose to go with Britany Ferries. Part of what makes this a no brainer, is the opportunity to dine in La Flora restaurant on the Pont- Aven .The service and the quality and huge array of food choices make this restaurant stand out. There is no sense of them thinking that because they have a captive audience, that they could relax their effort.
A l'occasion d'une mini croisière en Irlande nous avons dîné 2 fois dans ce restaurant. Quelle agréable surprise, bonne qualité des plats proposés, les buffets d'entrées, de fromages et de desserts sont tout simplement délicieux ! Always a nice start to a holiday to eat here. I have been lucky enough to get out of my car, up in the lift and pop us right alongside Le Flora. The buffet is far too tempting to eat too much so make sure you leave enough room for you main course and the desserts and cheeses. Very filling and very good.
Wonderful food and Excellant service nice atmosphere I had smoked salmon starter although there was lots to choose from. .beef for main deseet and cheese and French wine of course wonderful for a dining experience on the ferry
