J'ai examiné ce restaurant lors de sa première découverte il y a cinq ans. J'y suis retourné plusieurs fois depuis et je ne suis jamais déçu. Toujours un excellent service, une cuisine délicieuse et une atmosphère conviviale. Il propose un service gracieux et soigneusement chorégraphié, professionnel mais pas étouffant, amical mais pas direct. Lors de ma dernière visite, le lapin était tout simplement spectaculaire. Inutile de préciser une carte des vins français assez large et bien soignée, comprenant de nombreuses demi-bouteilles. Dans l’ensemble, cela vaut vraiment le détour si vous êtes à proximité.
This is not to put too fine a point on it, the best restaurant in the Gers. Run by the same family over three generations, the atmosphere is welcoming in winter or summer, the cooking excellent with many recipes having been handed down from one of those generations to the next and the wine list a good mix of local and regional offerings. I recently also stayed in one of their rooms which turned out to be every bit as good as the restaurant. Well appointed, comfortable, smart but cozy and with all mod cons it was also very reasonably priced. This is French regional at its very best. Worth a detour.
Recommended by our hostess at Le Chai, Condom. Driving through on our way to Bordeaux airport, what a fab treat to discover on a cold, rainy December day. Open log fire, welcoming and very efficient service. Yummy confit brulee, tempura vegetable amuse bouche. Charcoal bread, unusual and delicious. Open on a Thursday lunchtime, what a treat.
Love this restaurant. Charming service, excellent food and thank you for my birthday candle! We went with friends this time first time to socialise out of confinement and closed the restaurant as we were having such fun. Delicious food. What a great treat as a first outing. Highly recommend. Worth a detour!
