We really enjoyed our evening here. The welcome and the service was beynd reproach. The food was really excellent as were the wines. We sat outside in the little rear courtyard for drinks but it got a bit draughty so we moved indoors for the meal. The duck fillets were pronounced delicious as was the hake. The wines were real;ly nice and a good compliment to the food. The Ile Flottante and the Far Bretonne with Pruneaux desserts were also delicious. The 'shotgun ' liqueur, made on the premises with a rum base, was a lovely surprise and 'on the house '. All in all a superb evening.
De passage à Vannes, nous avons déjeuner ce midi au Gavroche et nous nous sommes régalés !! L’accueil est très agréable , le service parfait et les plats délicieux !! Mention particulière pour le millefeuille de saumon La patronne et le serveur sont aux petits soins. À la fin du repas nous avons eu droit au pousse-café. Nous reviendrons certainement à Vannes mais à coup sûr notre restaurant fétiche sera le Gavroche. Merci, nous avons passé un excellent moment !
My wife selected this restaurant because it was serving one of her favorite dishes, Blanquette of Veal. She enjoyed that dish very much when she was finished. I had the lamb shank and it was the best I have ever tasted. We had the three-course dinner at euros each and the quality of each dish was exceptional. Serving each of us a small glass of rum at the end was a nice touch. Highly recommended.
