Just come back from Chantilly in Monday (21.11.16) and visited Le Goutillion restaurant for dinner on Sunday evening. The owner (Maxim) was a real gentleman and so attentive in every way. We had fantastic food and the tastiest Cote de Bouef for 2 you can imagine for 60 euros. I can honestly say it could have fed 4 person. We finished off the meal with creme brulee served flambeed with cognac, it was amazing.Maxim ... thanks for your hospitality on Sunday night. Definately recommend this restuarant to anyone who visiting Chantilly.
Superb quality food and service and ambiance!The" formule" at 17euros= starter and main is unbeatable = inbattable!!Otherwise the Carte is extensive and full of terroir specialties and interestingwines. An absolute must! My wine merchant friend Jean-Paul and I have thismarvelous restaurant as our absolute favourite in Chantilly.From the welcoming of the owner himself, Monsieur Bernard to the final coffee:just a lovely genuine culinary and social experience.Would I live locally, I would go at least every week!
Le Goutillon has a probably well-deserved reputation, especially for big meaty dishes. We thought to have lunch there one hot day earlier this week. We sat outside, were given the blackboard menu and waited 15 minutes to be served. When the waiter came he said it was too late for the formule (17€) and the plat du jour (it was 13.40h), and strongly recommended the lobster (at 35€). We left, and enjoyed a modest lunch elsewhere.
