Found this great little restaurant in the bottom of a valley ,there was actually three restaurants next to each other .They could all be as good as this one but we had a great family meal ,my wife and I shared a fondue but others had pizzas which looked equally as good.It wasn't expensive by ski resort standards the service was good and came with a smile which you don't always get and looked like a family affair .To be recommended as after your meal you have a choice of pistes all of which are great.
I have visited this restaurant many times over the years, including last week and it remains one of the very best. You pay on ordering which is simple and fast and then sit on the South facing terrace or inside the cosy restaurant. The menu is quite extensive for a mountain restaurant although the pizza's are hard to resist. Arrive early because it gets very busy. A further bonus is that there are three chair lifts on the doorstep.
Certains restaurants de montagne sont chers et proposent une nourriture épouvantable. Le Grand Pré est fabuleux. Bonne nourriture, excellent rapport qualité-prix et service très heureux et sympathique malgré la cohue folle à l'heure du déjeuner. Et quel endroit merveilleux pour profiter du soleil et regarder le monde... skier. Je le recommande massivement.
What a great spot which is in full sun and the junction of the lifts. Lovely mountain restaurant. No-fuss order at the kiosk and good quality food delivered rapidly. Reasonable prices and more than happy to give you a pitcher of tap water with your meal. Indoors looks cosy too, but why eat indoors when it is sunny in the mountains !

One of our favourite lunch stops heading back to Morzine from Les Gets. Always have croquet monsieur or madame with frites, although I always think the pizza looks good and wish I'd had one!Speedy and friendly service, and spent far too long sitting in the comfy chairs in the sun after lunch!
Some moutnain restaurants are expensive and have terirble food. The Grand Pré is fabulous. Great food, excellent value and very hapy and friendly service - despite the mad rush at lunch times. And what a wonderful place to catch the sun and watch the world ski by. Massively recommend.
Nous étions 4 à prendre un café ici pendant le ski, le personnel était vraiment sympathique. Nous n'avons pas pris de nourriture, mais le menu avait l'air très complet. C'est situé directement entre 3 remontées dans un bol, un endroit idéal pour faire une pause.
Nous nous sommes arrêtés ici deux fois pour le déjeuner et les pizzas sont absolument délicieuses. La dame qui prend la commande est très sympathique et belle. Je recommande définitivement.

This is a great little cafe / bar / restaurant in the Troncs bowl which has a good selection of food & drinks. The large decking area captures the sun very well
Je trouve cet endroit difficile à manquer à chaque fois. De base mais d'excellente qualité, je n'ai aucune idée comment la cuisine peut être si efficace.
