I have never been to a cheese museum before. This house is an all in one : Here you can eat for lunch (or dinner , going to a cheese museum, try cheese and take some regional products as a souvenir to home. When we came in the restaurant I realised the offers ´grenouilles´. So French to sell frogs I had to try it! There is also a lot cheese offered in the menu which was also good! After lunch we went in the museum. We could watch the films in German and learned about the different cows that give different milks which is needed for the several cheeses. In the end we´ve got a degustation of the cheese and bought some marmelade as a souvenir. The Franche Comté adventure was perfect in the end :...

We had a nice lunch here last Saturday. The service was friendly and efficient; the food was fine. A lot of cheese, sausage, trout...and or course Arbois wine. The dining room is huge and when we were there it was fairly empty, but I imagine when there is a busload of clients, it could get noisy. Overall a pleasant experience. NOTE: the restaurant IS NOT in Besancon as is indicated in the address in TA. It is located in Cleron which is just under 30 kilometres from Besancon. Cleron is in a beautiful region of Franche Comte well worth a visit (Ornans is nearby too with its houses on the Loue river and the birthplace of Gustave Courbet).

If you like cheese, you MUST go there to visit the museum, where you will learn about the origins and production process of some specific cheese. Cheese is really tasty, specially their Morbier and Comte. After the visit, you can enjoy a dégustation of their own cheese. Moreover you can choose to buy from a selection of different products elaborated there.

I was brought here as part of a course with work. The service was very friendly and timely. The food was very good and generous. I would really recommend the box meal, a real taste of the area. I enjoyed the meal a lot!
