Le Hasting's - Réserver une table

Dernier restaurant avant le casino et le front de mer, le Hastings propose sa salle, quelques tables le long de la façade ou une cours intérieure, notre choix.L'accueil et la prise de commande n'étaient pas des plus sympathiques, mais cela s'est nettement arrangé à mesure que le restaurant se vidait.La formule à 20€ propose entrée+plat+dessert unique sur l'ardoise dans la rue. Demander à revoir cette formule à l'intérieur semblait contrarier notre serveuse, obligée d'aller chercher l'ardoise. La formule étant clairement un menu d'appel, la tactique consiste ensuite à orienter les clients vers la carte et des menus plus onéreux.Les plats sont bons, sans plus. Le service était relativement rapide (fin de service avec moins de clients) et aimable, après "dégel".Le rapport valeur perçue/prix est équivalent à ce que l'on trouve dans la région.La note finale est un "très bien" par excès, avec clémence du jury et parce que TripAdvisor ne propose pas de "bien".Est-ce que je recommande ? Oui, avec avertissementEst-ce que j'y retournerais ? Pas sûr.

Walking down from Le Grand Hotel in the rain this was the first restaurant I came to. The name is indeed curious and the waitress said it was named after the battle. But she could not explain the spelling and said I should ask the "patron" but he did not appear! Service was quite satisfactory, seating comfortable but I did not like having to look at statuettes of intimate parts of a female body on full display. My Normandy Salad was excellent and the Rhone wine too. Dessert was nice too.

This is a lovely family-run restaurant 3 minutes from the sea front and looking over the central park area and Grand Hotel. The food is simple but delicious. I recommend the 'Moules Hastings'. The service is what really makes this a delightful experience though, we have been several times and we are always made incredibly welcome and never left feeling neglected. They have a children's menu and are welcoming to the little ones. There is outdoor and indoor seating. Recommended.

My wife and I found this place on our walk through town, and had probably the best meal we had in France. We had a wonderful fish soup, followed by a grilled duck breast with an excellent sauce.
