This local bar has been going for ever but more recently introduced a restaurant serving basic food: steak, pizza, duck. There is a set menu or you can choose à la carte, half a pizza with salad. Food is very good value for money, portions enormous so good for those with great appetites. The best thing is that it has a fantastic atmosphere, especially in the summer when the place is buzzing with activity and people of all ages and nationalities. The owner and his family are all here, hugely energetic always cheerful and seemingly work non stop from early morning to early the next morning. Initially we were not intending to eat at Le Helder but when we went to view the menu the welcome we received caused us to change our minds and we enjoyed a very good meal. The restaurant is obviously used by the locals some just having a drink and others were also eating and this all added to the atmosphere and at the end of the mael we were agreed that we had made the right choice in deciding to eat here. The only slight downside was that the choice of wine was limited to a choice of one red or one white but fortunately they were both drinkable!
Nous avons visité cinq fois lors de notre séjour de dix jours à Cessenon. À chaque fois, nous avons reçu un accueil chaleureux et avons apprécié les échanges sympathiques avec le personnel merveilleux, surtout lorsque nous avons essayé de parler français! Le patron n'aurait pas pu faire plus pour nous mettre à l'aise. Hier soir, nous avons tous les quatre pris le steak qui était probablement le meilleur que nous ayons jamais eu en France et la bière pression Heineken bien fraîche n'est pas mal non plus! Merci.
Nous avons visité plusieurs fois lors de notre récent séjour à Cessenon. C'est un bar typiquement français avec beaucoup de places en terrasse sur la place en face de l'église et semble populaire auprès des habitants et des visiteurs. Des cafés du matin aux boissons tardives en soirée, l'atmosphère est animée et le personnel efficace et sympathique. Les coupes de glaces sont de véritables œuvres d'art. Unbelievable! What a change at Le Helder! An enormous terrace, buzzling from morning coffee till late. You still have the opportunity to order just a beer or pichet of the pleasant local wine, but you can also go two steps further! A real wine list and luxury wine glasses, perfect frites and meat from the grill...and the master piece is the Côte de boeuf of 1.000 gram!! Whatever you want, it is all ok to the owner and staff.
