Le jardin des Saveurs

We went to this restaurant with our three children and our friends and their two children and from the moment we arrived we were made to feel unwelcome. When my two year old moved the paper table cloth, the waiter stopped taking our order to tut over this and fix the table cloth. Although we had come in with five hungry children we weren't even offered bread and when we asked for some, one small basket was dropped onto the table. I ordered moules frite for myself and two of my children but when the food arrived there was nothing for my children to eat and when I asked for their meal we were told that there were no mussels left so we had to make do with one portion between three of us. At no time was any apology or explanation offered and when my six year old accidentally knocked over a glass, we heard the waiter loudly complain about us to other customers in the restaurant and nobody ever arrived to clear away the broken glass. Customer service obviously doesn't exist in this restaurant and unless you have robot children that sit in place without moving you won't be welcome.in this restaurant. Steer clear. Atelier Gourmands is just a few steps away where you will receive a warm welcome and enjoy a much nicer meal.

Nice place with a decent atmosphere. Unfortunately the restaurant guests were at this particular time only served by two members of staff. This resulted in the waiter and waitress running about not paying too much attention to what we ordered (various versions of coffees after the meal which not at all what were ordered ). Even after pointing this out - and being told it'd be rectified - it was ignored. As we paid and passed on our disappointments we had an argument back, which we thought was bad manners. He should just have taken it 'on the chin' and taken aboard our comments.Perhaps it was partly due to lack of staff on a Friday evening - though I have a feeling this was a strategy to keep costs down - but I also feel the manager had a bit of an attitude problem!

Perhaps we were unlucky? The young waitress was absolutely excellent and with our limited ability to speak French gave us lots of time and advice. The Menu de jour was not for us (tripe) so I opted for the Moules. More expensive than normal at 12.5 euro. They were not good or too numerous! They were more than over done in fact, shrunken many partly open and the hinges fell apart.. Had I been in an English resturant I would have complained. In honesty the worst I have tasted in France. My wife's meal was very fine.

Ça a l'air bien, mais nous avons trouvé le maître d'hôtel désagréable, les pizzas de mauvaise qualité et le repas trop cher. Nous avons demandé de l'eau en voulant dire une carafe normale et on nous a présenté une bouteille de marque déjà ouverte que le serveur a versé directement. Les pizzas sont faites sur...More

The nice creperie was full so we opted to go here for pizza but "cheese laden" under sells it! Chips inedible. Avoid unless super hungry
