Stayed overnight near Bordeaux and weren't sure where to eat. The accommodation where we stayed had a copy of the menu of Le Juliano so we decided to give it a try. What a pleasant surprise ! The manager was very accommodating considering our very poor French, we managed to communicate. He suggested a couple of wines to try and what to have for dinner. My wife and I decided on the magret de canard and were not disappointed. The duck was cooked perfectly and the potion size was very generous. The wines suggested to accompany the meal were also excellent. The restaurant offers a choice of a la cart or three course menus and also a bistro selection. Highly recommend.
We arrived with a French friend who told us there was a bar with music. We found a lively bar which was buzzing, seats out front, well laid out restaurant and courtyard at the rear. A teenage girl duo and a rock band provided the music. The kids food of beef burger and chips was very tasty and the fish and chips very nice although do not expect it to be exactly like the english version. The toilet was clean. Will go again to sample the restaurant at midday and for another music night. Easy to find in centre of town just off main auto route with parking in road and behind by the church.
We had a meal in this place and it was a true horror the food was awfull and expensive it was more like school dinners/hospital food and then they tried to overcharge us we queried the bill and they ungraciously backed down, the place looks quite nice but the plates and cutlery were not the cleanest they could have been. Go elsewhere !
