Le Kiosque - Réserver une table

We chose this place partly for the seafood and partly the location. You seem to be paying for the location. Several small niggles let it down like bringing no bread, then dry bread also a tapenade in a nice quaint jar that had been previously used. The cheese course consisted of one tiny piece of cheese and, it appeared, the waitress couldn't be bothered to bring the cheese trolley out to select in the normal method. The food was ok but we left very disappointed.

We got a last minute table here with no particular expectations and were delighted with our meal which included a platter of oysters and whelks and then varied fish and mussels. The accompaniments worked well. We chose the house rosé which was fresh and pleasant. Staff were young, extremely attentive and very cheerful in the face of our demonstrably poor French). We enjoyed our evening and the prices seem excellent but we are used the Irish high prices.

This establishment is situated in the heart of the public garden in front of bandstand dating the 20s in the shade of lime trees. Le Kiosque proposes you a cooking based on the fish, the seafood as well as Portuguese specialities without forgetting the flavours Aveyronnaises that you can have a rough time since his shaded terrace. Your average restaurant offering average food at superior prices to mislead tourists into thinking they 'll get haute cuisine . The service is (too) fast and average as well. One can get better for less elsewhere in the city.

Took my mum for a Sunday lunch...actually she did in February. Lovely restaurant lovely service and we loved our food. Well presented and fresh. From the starter to the dessert. Super! Merci. Will come back.
