Le Mangoustan - Réserver une table

On the board outside this place advertises "pizzas and burgers" but it does a bit more than that. I fancied a salad but I have to say not with chicken gizzards (which appear to be a local obsession), or goats cheese - the only two on offer. I went for the meat dish of the day which was a tasty and pretty good small steak (skirt I think) for €10. Everyone else ate pizzas or burgers and seemed happy. Steer clear of the local wine though - not great.

As we are staying in Puy de Serre, the above restaurant was recommended as a good place to have lunch.it was indeed a very pleasant lunch with a good choice of food available. The party ranged from my 81 year old mother in law to my 4 year old grandson. Everyone selected different dishes and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food all freshly cooked.

Good place if you have kids and have been on a trip in the Mervent Forest. Well spaced tables, both inside and out. Food is rather basic.. chicken and chips, fish and chips, and a few more imaginative dishes. Service is reasonable and the restaurant is clean and staff welcoming. Well priced and very reasonably priced wine list. Basic but acceptable.

A rather spacious restauran, lakeside, with indoor and outdoor seating. Food is reasonable, not inspired. Service is reasonable and they are excellent with children.

Très bon accueil, cadre très sympa. Cuisine simple mais de qualité.. Qui éveille les papilles et régale les yeux.
