Le Marcelin - Réservation de table

Nous avons cherché La Marcelin lors d'une récente visite à Argeliers, basée sur les avis de Tripadvisor, et nous n'avons pas été déçus. Nous sommes arrivés vers 18h30 un soir de janvier et avons trouvé une jolie table pour deux à l'arrière du restaurant. Le service était discret mais bon et nous n'en croyions pas nos yeux devant la taille des pizzas une fois qu'elles sont arrivées - regrettant d'avoir déjà pris une entrée très agréable. Quelques autres personnes sont arrivées pendant notre repas et même s'il n'était pas complet, il y avait suffisamment de monde pour créer une atmosphère conviviale et détendue. Nous avons découvert ce petit bijou de restaurant lors de notre croisière sur le Canal du Midi. Après avoir marché le long d'une route sinueuse jusqu'au cœur d'Argeliers et l'avoir trouvé dans une rue typique mais calme de France. Le propriétaire/chef très sympathique. Il nous a préparé deux pizzas, une traditionnelle bien garnie et l'autre à la crème fraîche... chacune à environ 8 euros et énormes... absolument délicieuses. Mémorables. C'est définitivement la meilleure pizza que nous avons mangée dans n'importe quel pays. J'espère qu'il sera toujours là lors de notre prochaine escapade en France... nous ferions certainement l'effort de revenir le visiter.

We moored up in the canal and walked through the mini golf and past the snack bar, we followed the purple Le Marcelin Restaurant signs, hoping it would be open on a Monday night. We were pleased to see it was. There was a couple eating and another couple came in later, so plenty of room for four. We all ordered off the set menu and it was fabulous. Goats cheese and mixed salad excellent, lovely dressing. Steaks spot on and the pizzas perfect and tasty. We had chocolate profiteroles and taaaart tatin, best we had all week. A special meal in a great restaurant.

The others in the restaurant were eating pizza and were very satisfied from what I could see. My magnet was asked for medium but it was burnt on the outside and the fat not rendered properly and rare and tough on the inside. I ate less than half. On the upside I wasn't going to complain and willing to pay full price. The owner was obviously distressed that the meal was not up to scratch and reduced the cost considerably. After a long cycle up the canal du midi the kids needed to eat - we assumed wrongly that since this is a tourist area on the canal this fair sized village would have something open at the height of the season. Le Marcelin to the rescue, we were welcomed in even though they were closing up, this is the only place we found open however it is a great place to stop where the owners are genuinely friendly and the pizza is great.

It was simple, home cooked food, that was all very tasty. We got a warm welcome and they were very helpful throughout. I had the pizza, that had a great thin base and plenty of tasty topping. Tried the grilled prawns which were also good. Its not a fancy white linen table cloth, but it was good simple fare.

I showed up very late, but was warmly welcomed.Went for the menu à 11€ - salade landaise and a fantastic pizza.This, along with a 0.5l pichet of red, meant that I then rolled out a couple of hours later quite a lot fatter and happier.Highly recommended. Great food, fantastic service and good value.

We stumbled across this little local restaurant on a Monday night and we were happy that we did. We all had pizzas and all three pizzas came out and were simple and very tasty. I really liked the thin base. We had no complaints. The service was solid and overall it was a pleasant evening. Réservez une table maintenant

We are fairly regular visitors to Argeliers and there are always quite a few visits to Le Marcelin. Beautiful restaurant, amazing food, friendly and reasonably priced. Well worth a visit!

Super pizza et service. J'avais envie d'une bière et ils étaient en rupture de stock! Semble populaire auprès des habitants et offre un bon rapport qualité-prix.
