Located on a side street, Le Marecage can be a bit hard to find. No parking on the street, a parking lot is a short walk away. Le Marecage had been recommended by several locals. The food was very good, I had the schnitzel, could...not be beat. The owner met us at the door but was reluctant to seat an English speaking party of four. He claimed he had a large party, but the restaurant was almost empty. He did finally agree to set us at the bar. During our dining experience it became clear the bartender was in fact the owner, he was also the greeter and cashier. English speaking parties were routinely turned away, German speaking parties were seated immediately. The owner spoke good English an...
Das Ambiente als auch die Innenraumgestaltung sind schon etwas aussergewöhnlich, aber durchaus mit Wohlfühlfaktor. Die Gerichte entsprechen dem Bistrocharakter, sind gut und ausreichend portioniert. Störend ist der äusserst hohe Geräuschpegel, auch wenn das Lokal nur halb besetzt ist. Teiweise nervig ist auch das Personal, welches schon neues bringen möchte, wenn das bestellte noch garnicht verzehrt wurde. Etwas weniger Übereifer wäre wohltuender. Resümierend wäre zu bemerken, daß Unterhaltungen wohl nicht im Sinne des Veranstalters sind, was wohl auch an der nicht schlechten Hintergrundmusik liegt.
Le Marecage is the best place for excellent food, service and friendly atmosphere. They have always been VERY accommodating and I've been there way too many times to even count. I've had birthday celebrations where we had the entire balcony area reserved and I was...even able to request an individual menu for my guests to choose from. We brought my own birthday cake and they provided the plates etc. Unbelievably the best service EVER! I will always take visitors to Le Marecage and we are always greeted as family. LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Never had one bit of food there that was ever below par.
When you walk in the atmosphere is immediately warm and friendly. Clearly this is a popular local restaurant. The waitresses were very friendly and spoke good English if needed. However, it’s not really a restaurant for children. The food is excellent German traditional food with...wonderful salads with large portions. There is a full service bar and we met a nice couple from the UK and retired to the area. Parking was immediately next to the restaurant but only for a few cars. It is a short walk to parking in the center of town.

I’ll be honest I love this place! The food is absolutely amazing. The salad and dressing is also the best I’ve ever had. Great food, close to ramstein. The only problem is the secret is out. It can sometimes be hard to get a table....But I would gladly sit anywhere for this food! The owner works every day and greets everyone that walks in. This guy has a great sense of pride!!! If you looking for food go here.
The building is currently under construction outside, but inside it is functioning perfectly. Party of We made reservations. Seated immediately. Our waitress spoke excellent english and helped to translate the menu. I ordered the Nautilus steak. It was amazing and cooked to perfection. Nice...selection of beer. I highly recommend this establishment.
We frequented here. I cant explain how good the food was here. google translator does not work on their menu. Its written in old Deutch and slang. staff is very helpful. The bruschetta is awesome
Local Pub with simple German Food. Tuesday was Steak and Salad night. There seems to be a lot of locals here. Wait staff was extremely friendly and she spoke fluent English.

We stopped for a beer and ended up going on to wine and eating there. The staff are fantastic and friendly. The place was crowded by and I know why. A great evening .
