Le Monchu - Réserver une table

The restaurant wasn't particularly busy today, and we've been there often over recent years, so we were amazed at the terrible service. The food took nearly an hour and a half to arrive, other tables who had arrived much later than us were served first. We had two toddlers with us and they couldn't even bring their chicken nuggets and chips without waiting over an hour....and they brought the wrong drinks when they eventually showed up. The waitresses seemed unfriendly too, I don't understand what's gone wrong there. Anyway, the good news is that Chatel has a lot of good restaurants to choose from, we'll just skip this one for a year of two until we get some reliably good reviews.

Been eating here for twenty years through various incarnation and currently prolly nearly the best it's ever been. Small and thigh try pack can be somewhat claustrophobic and quite smokey with pirates and fondues all going. Menu quite varied and reasonably priced with a nice selection of wines Good evening after a day's skiing and jus far enough out of the village to deter the pares sl rowdiness

The restaurant has very good food, efficient and friendly service, a very alpine style ambience, and a great view. It's out on the edge of town, so perhaps is less busy than if it were in the centre, so we got a table without difficulty. We all enjoyed our lunch there, as indeed we have on each occasion we've been there over several years.

Fantastic dinner at the lake side. The menu shows a good number of brasseie type of dishes. Good quality and well cooked. Including fine vegetables!! Value for money.

First night at Châtel and fortunate for us all other restaurants where fully booked. Not cheap but honest for what you get.
