Le Moulin de Châlons

One of the most expensive restaurants in the area, the whole experience smacks of class and typical French eating at the "correcte" level.A good welcome, choice of inside or out, by the mill pond, deceptively casual service which actually did the job quickly, efficiently, and with charm. Food was as you would expect from a good French restaurant, not a large choice, which means that everything is prepared by hand for each diner, from fresh local ingredients.My wife enjoyed one of the tastiest and most imaginative desserts she had ever tasted.Would certainly go back, but be ready to part with around £/E 150 for two.

A nouveau le plaisir de vous dire bravo pour votre talent culinaire. Ce dimanche, nous avons adoré votre nouvelle carte. Foie gras avec pèche pochée sur pain d’épice, filet de canette avec salade braisée et le bœuf grillé avec truffes blanches, mille-feuille de pommes de terre etc… et succulent dessert au chocolat pour ces dames et dessert citron PLUS QUE PARFAIT … Nous vous avons dit notre plaisir d’être à votre table et vous encourageons chaleureusement à continuer dans l’excellence. Le site du moulin de chalons est toujours aussi beau et convivial .. A bientôt

The Moulin de Chalons is a rural restaurant a little bit out of the way. The dining room is quite formal but not at all stuffy. The menu is more fine dining than tourist and the food superbly prepared. the staff are extremely friendly and service is efficient but not rushed, in keeping with the style of restaurant. We were celebrating a birthday and this is a good special occasion restaurant. Although quite expensive at over €100 for two, in fairness it is still good value.

I'd chosen this restaurant partly for the option to eat outside on a lovely terrace overlooking water. However, it was raining and we ate inside, but we weren't disappointed. High-class but friendly service; lovely surroundings; delicious food. Would definitely be on the list of two must-return restaurants in the area. The 'Menu Inspiration du Chef' was really good value - and we savoured every mouthful.

Cela faisait plus de 10 ans que nous passions devant sans nous arrêter. Chose faite le vendredi de l'Ascension.Temps superbe donc déjeuner sur la terrasse au bord de l'étang.Très bonne cuisine, plats très bien présentés. Service très aimable.Bref, une belle surprise se cache derrière cette imposante bâtisse.Adresse que je recommande sans hésiter et où nous reviendrons.
