Le Napoleon - Réservation de table

Nous sommes restés dans la ville pendant trois semaines et avons visité ce restaurant deux fois car il était proche de notre appartement. Nous avons adoré les délicieuses pizzas, les bons vins et le serveur extrêmement poli et sympathique. Même le chef nous a reconnu et nous a accueillis chaleureusement. C'était parfait. Ils nous ont conseillé de réserver lorsque nous sommes allés la première fois, mais nous préférions être plus spontanés à ce moment-là (c'était très calme la première semaine de janvier dans la station en général). Ce samedi-là, nous sommes arrivés sans réservation et la serveuse précédemment sympathique nous a très impoliment dit qu'ils étaient complets et nous a renvoyés....

C'est un peu en retrait et pas facile à trouver. Au bas des escaliers d'entrée se trouve la zone des poubelles qui ne dégage pas le meilleur arôme. L'emplacement n'est pas le point fort !! Une fois à l'intérieur, c'est une toute autre histoire. Le service est de bas niveau mais très amical, y compris de la part du chef qui est sorti pour parler à chaque client et s'occuper des enfants de la fête. Une pizza reste une pizza à la fin de la journée et celle-ci était bonne. Est-ce que j'y retournerais ? Oui, pour le service et la nourriture, mais je pourrais devoir me boucher le nez jusqu'à l'intérieur !!

We visited here for dinner and our initial expectations were not what we got, the restaurant has stainless steel tables with high seats and bench seats around the windows, at least in the part we were in.We ordered the hot stone meal for 4 persons, the plate of meat that arrived was huge with duck, chicken, veal and beef in layers and the biggest bowl of chips you will ever see. If you leave the place hungry its your own fault.We couldn't finish our meat so we cooked what was left and the supplied a container for us to bring it back to our apartment where we had the remains for breakfast.

This establishment has changed with its current owners. It used to be a noisy pub/nightclub but it has now become a quiet family suitable restaurant and a good place for a drink with friends at the end of the day. The Napoleon offers a wide range of pizza (eat in or takeaway), traditional Savoie cuisine and steak, duck, fish etc. During the ski season this restaurant is packed so it is always good to book a table. The bar is well stocked and is a very good place for a drink apres ski or late at night (especially Christmas or New Year's Eve) Réservez une table maintenant

Tricky to find especially if following tripadvisor location. The restaurant is to be found at the back of the houses on the main square in alignment with the hotel 'la vieille poste'. We were attracted here by the multiple reviews about the xl salads served here and we were for sure not disappointed. The salad with warm goats cheese is spectacular and served on a shiffer plate in a very artistic way. The staff and the chef are all very pleasant and make you feel welcome. Definitely to be recommended.

We hoped in here one evening as it looked relaxed...which it is but I have to say while we weren't looking for anything special, the steak here was just heaven, with homemade mayonnaise and sauces and a chef that comes out to check on his guests...we give it a big thumbs up. Hit the spot.

What a delightful restaurant experience at the Napoleon. Well-lit, clean, fresh salads, interesting food lay-out on interesting plates- great oil. Lots of unique to the area touches- when you get tired of savoyard go here- it won't disappoint.

Great pierrade with plenty of meat, delicious sauces and yummy fries. Book on Friday nights as it gets very busy. Not the most romantic setting the food is very good and the team lovely Réservez une table maintenant

Le personnel était amical, la nourriture était super, la salade de chèvre était excellente et on m'a dit que les steaks étaient parmi les meilleurs jamais mangés.

Really really good, had pizza, beers and dessert - great value for money, great service from all the staff.
