Le Neptune - Réserver une table

I went with my wife in June. This place looks like it has seen better days, but actually, it is in that very French category of restaurant which has a fairly limited ambition, but nonetheless does what it does rather well. Out of season, it nonetheless attracted the locals, and I have to say as far as we were concerned the service was friendly, prompt and rather good. We had a lunch formula featuring a smoked salmon starter, which was fine, Moules et Frites - excellent fries and tasty mussels - the northern French small mussels rather than the big orange ones you can get in southern Brittany - Everything was seasoned well. Despite the fabulous location better to avoid this tourist trap. Staff is very inexperienced, got their priorities muddled up and get so stresses during 'rush hour' that they start ignoring customers, get orders wrong and just don't bring the food/drinks ordered ('j'arrive' doesn't cut is for those prices). Used to be a really nice family place some years ago and we came here every year. Now we won't. Shame.

Food was as you would expect in France, of a very high and not in my opinion expensive. The proprietor and staff were very helpful and attentive. I would not hesitate in going back.

The staff are rude beyond comprehension, service is slow, food is even slower, well done if you get your drinks before you pass out from dehydration.

Such a shame as the food was fine and the views great, but the waiter was so rude and the service very slow. At those prices you should expect more.
