Le Norway - Réserver une table

In the middle of November the choice of restaurants open was limited and unfortunately this one was. Looks great from the outside and thats were it ends. We wanted a light lunch so we ordered from the 11 euro menu. The waiter was pleasant enough taking our order but quickly showed his true colours tutting with annoyance because we didn't want wine just tap water. The fish terrine was ok, nothing to write home about. As for the mussels, or should I say what mussels. In my small bowlful there were 15 empty shells with no loose mussels to be found. Most of them were small with disgusting skeleton like things inside with no flesh. All-in-all I had the grand total of 6 ok mussels. As for the crepe that arrived under cooked and cold. My husband complained about the standard of the mussels and was told they were fresh in today. The service went down hill after we complained.

this restaurant has little going for it, apart from a reasonable bottle of house wine.the toilets in the restaurant were a disgrace, no soap, soggy hand towel, wonky tap and not very clean. we ate there yesterday and our meal for 2 was nearly 80 euro, so its not good value either.the food was ok if all they did was open it, ie oysters were fine, but anything they had to cook was dreadful, when i complained about my sardines my response from the staff was zero interest.when i returned to the hotel, i spent half the night in the bathroom. will i be going back to this restaurant, the answer is NEVER.

We were in Royen on a quiet Monday night and to be fair the restaurant we wanted to go to was closed. This was nearby and we hadn't checked out the reviews.We had the 18 euro 50 set menu and it was more than good. Well cooked and the staff were pleasant.Would not hesitate to go again and based on this visit a bit perplexed at previous reviews.

We had lunch in this place. It is located just off the beach boulevard. Food and service were good. The waiter was really helpful setting us up. child-friendly. Good salads, good desert

One of hundreds of places to eat in Royan. The food is reasonable as is the price. The service is decent but nothing lifts it above all the others.
