I had a terrible experience here, mostly due to the service (or lack thereof) of one waiter in particular. We were ignored for a good 10 minutes before I raised my hand in order to get the waiter's attention. First, my friend ordered a power aid drink and I ordered tap water; he came back with the poweraid for my friend and an empty glass for me. After 5 minutes of waiting, I went to find out where the water was, only to be told I couldn't have tap water and would need to buy a bottle. So why bring me an empty glass and say nothing? From reading the reviews, I see a few unhappy campers:) That said, this American skier and her ski club were treated like royalty, served dishes which included salmon, shrimp, truffles (Yes! With eggs), whitefish and Bruscetta. ALL BEAUTIFULLY PRESENTED AND WITH A SMILE! Enough servings of different cheeses and delicate desserts -macarons,also- to have us popping out of our ski togs! And WINE and BEER! Music, dancing ( in our ski boiots:))and a delightful staff, a view across the mountains that sets you up with the gods- this party was the BEST we have ever had as a ski club, and we have had MANY! A group of friends and I had lunch in the restaurant, and the food was very nice.However, the attitude from one of the waiters was terrible. He was pleasant throughout the meal, but then towards the end repeatedly asked how much we were going to tip him. In the end we felt so annoyed that he kept hassling us about the tip that we decided we weren’t going to tip him at all.When I told him of our intention not to tip, he got very aggressive and stood blocking my way as I was leaving and started shouting at me. Nous avons eu la malchance d'arriver à l'heure de pointe du déjeuner et voulant juste prendre une collation légère, nous avons rejoint la file d'attente pour le snack-bar en plein air. Et nous avons attendu. Et attendu. Et attendu. Oui, il y avait des serveurs prenant les commandes de boissons pendant la file d'attente, mais cela a pris une éternité pour commander notre nourriture et au moment où je suis arrivé au début de la file d'attente, ils avaient épuisé les quiches. Après une attente de trente minutes, l'offre était un croque-monsieur pour mon mari et comme je ne mange pas de fromage, des frites et une salade verte pour moi ! Certainement pas la peine de faire la queue, mais des vues...
We went here with the intention of having lunch, however ended up going elsewhere. The location is unparalleled so obviously it is busy, however people were waiting 30 mins in line for the snack bar where there was only one person serving .... very .... slowly ...! We wanted to eat in the restaurant and went in to enquire - we were offered a table either inside or outside later that afternoon, however when we took 1 minute to discuss between ourselves, the waitress replied with a "yes? No? Have you made up your mind? Ok, I'll leave you" in a rushed, impatient tone. In the end it was us who decided to leave!
Nous avons adoré les chaises longues ! Cependant, huit euros pour un cappuccino très très moyen et six euros pour un café allongé à bouton poussoir pourraient inciter à aller ailleurs. Les endroits près de Courchevel 1850 font-ils cela délibérément pour décourager les gens normaux ? Si c'est le cas, ça marche ! Cela décourage même les personnes raisonnables ! Mais comme je l'ai dit, la chaise longue était excellente. (Disponible chez Carrefour - 39,99 euros si vous voulez emmener la vôtre)
We only went to the self service snack bar, not the main restaurant. The food we had, soup and sausage and chips, was very average. My main complaint is that the vin chaud was the worst I have had anywhere ( and I have tried many). 7 euros for a glass of sour ribena which I did not finish. There is a lot of choice in the mountains, so go somewhere else.

The views are to die for, but we ended up walking out of the restaurant having waited far too long to get served. Instead, we ended up eating at the snack bar outside which served a great tartiflette. One final point to note were the loos which seem to be a bit of an afterthought - tiny and quite exposed.
