The title says it, really. It’s a good place to sit in the sun on the main square facing the Town Hall. It’s fine for a beer or a coffee too, and if you just want something to eat as fuel to keep you going - well that was the standard. We just wanted a simple salad, and their Salad Bergère - warm goats cheese on toast with salad - looked ideal. It came as a generous platter of 4 large segments of herb-dusted cheese on slices of toasted baguette, plus a couple of slices of ham, little toasted croutons, 4 or 5 pieces of (sadly tasteless) tomato, a gigantic amount of lettuce with a harsh dressing, and all drizzled with balsamic. I have to say it was an unequal struggle and we both gave up after a short while feeling rather unsatisfied, having eaten the cheese but little else.We felt slightly guilty at wasting so much food, but felt slightly better when we noticed that other plates were going back with nearly as much on as ours.It is probably no better nor no worse than other comparable tourist eatery places in town, but we’d definitely not want to eat there again unless in desperation.(photos I see as I enter this do show a much more refined plate, so perhaps a relief chef was on duty when we were there)
