I can't say enough about this cafe. We were visiting the chateau and the gardens and wandered over to the cafe for lunch and I'm so glad we did. It was so inviting with its cheery canopy/awning on the outside where diners could choose to sit. It was a beautiful day, but quite warm, so we were happy to sit inside. We were a family of 7, so it's always challenging to walk into small cafes, looking for a place to sit. However, we were met by a very friendly server and seated right away. The entire menu was written on a chalkboard, and everything sounded delicious with lots of veggies. There was a veggie option, a bean option, a meat option, and a cheese option, We all tried something different,...

This was easily our best Lunch in this years visit to Bretagne. While the Castle next to the Restaurant is interesting from outside, the food the Team of Le petit Jagu is preparing ist interesting from the inside. Beeing there in the end of July, we had a chance to get ultimately fresh produce (none of it was picked more then 6 hours ago probably less). The Menue is simple: One Vegetarian option, one Carnivore . Both excellent especially because the used produce is VERY fresh and very well processed. Even if you do not want to go into the Castle (which is ok, because there is not much in it it 's main appeal is the unchanged medival outside and it 's landart castle grounds) you should not mi...

Went for lunch having read the online reviews, what a disappointment!! Completely empty restaurant only to be told it was fully booked, fair enough we’d sit outside under a ramshackle cover not possible that was completely booked too , bearing in mind it was raining cats and dogs were quite seriously told we could sit in the rain to eat if we wished and we weren’t the only ones given this ‘helpful’ advice. Can only hope this place closes very soon as they most certainly do not deserve the business from tourists. What a shower!!!!

Modest priced two course menu with choice of meat or vegetarian. We tried both and enjoyed the range of vegetables and pulses accompanying both options. Jolly service and very busy both indoors and outside in the ‘tunnel’. Be delighted to eat here again.
