I do not understand why this place is Michelin recommended. We went on a Sunday for lunch because of said recommendation and got the three-course lunch menu. The first course was salmon tartare and that was fine, but nothing special. The second course was a...steak with onion sauce. It was overcooked (we asked for rare and got medium) and the sauce was disappointingly mediocre. The final course was creme brulee. A proper creme brulee has a crispy crust when you hit it with your spoon, it should crack in this case, the crust was stretchy. Instead of cracking, it just stretched with the spoon down into the cream. It was edible, but nothing more. The atmosphere was nothing special. Service was fine. But I'd never eat their food again. Really disappointed. I'm feeling really nervous about trusting Michelin ever again

Saturday night eve out. We booked in advance and at the restaurant was quiet. It did start to fill up during the evening. This is a white tablecloth type restaurant with a couple running in, husband in the kitchen and wife front of house....We chose the menu which is served with different wines according to each course. Everything was perfect and some of the wines excellent. First class little restaurant

So they closed for a month and reopened recently and the food looked so good that I ended up trying it again! Much better than the past few times when

No atmosphere, and rude waiting staff. Not an enjoyable experience. There are many other better places in Vitre
