Restaurant isn't really in Bonnieux, being just off D900 west of Apt, but it's worth a trip out or a lunch stop (you can also visit the excellent Roman bridge nearby). We had quite a substantial menu du jour for lunch, with interesting and local dishes, including a very tasty stuffed volaille dish. Service was good too we only realised Madam spoke good English as we were leaving, as she had patiently helped us do everything in French, including choosing local beer. Make a trip out to try this small and very genuine place.
It was built by the Romans in 3 p.n.e. He was part of Via Domitia, the first road built in Galicia. Construction of this road was Gneius Domiius Ahenobarbus (Gnaeus Domitius Ahenobarbus), founder of the Roman colony of Narbo (now Narbonne), from 118 p.n. Pont Julien River is located on the Calavon River near the modern city of Bonnieux and Apt.Most was built from natural stones without the use of walls. Pont Julien is currently in good technical condition and still remains in use for pedestrians and cyclists.
Nous avions tant attendu cette soirée au Pont Julien. À peine était-il ouvert que d'autres clients ont erré à l'intérieur. La nourriture était presque immangeable/trop cuite et le gigot était difficile à couper. Le pire repas que nous ayons eu à subir ce mois-ci. Nous comprenons maintenant pourquoi il y avait si peu de clients. Je ne recommanderais jamais cet endroit à quiconque !
