"Better than average restaurant compared to the town and the region but not quite as good as it wants to be or could be. Not cheap either."

The main course of scallop and prawn was the best we have had anywhere. They were plump and succulent, accompanied by a cooked small array of vegetables and a rich fish and cream-based sauce. The desserts were delicious too. My plate of chocolate cream, berry sorbet, confit of cherries and minute squares of alcohol-soaked pistachio cake was a riot of colour and desirability. The Baba au rhum was reported to be light and, yes, rum-y. The service was attentive but not overbearing. Our water jugs were replenished when required. The glass of White House wine was reported to be very pleasant. Whilst the ambiance of the restaurant was good, the decor itself does not in any way match the quality of the food. Tables must be reserved in advance.

Went with my wife for a rare dinner for two.The service was charming throughout from the welcome to departure. There were a couple of staff under tuition who clearly wanted to do their best - particularly the young man.The food was good, I had a lobster dish as a starter which didn't really work, but the lobster was well cooked. My wife faired better with a crab cocktail.Good bread. The wine list was interesting with lots of good local wine to choose from. The desserts looked interesting but we refrained and went for the cheese board which was well conditioned and diverse. The coffee was excellent as were the choice of digestives.Nice atmosphere and I would recommend it.

We were only staying two nights in Pezenas and had booked at another restaurant on the following evening for my partners birthday, however after dining here we changed our minds and reserved a table for that occasion. The decor is classy, muted and modern. The service was simply sensational (our waitress being the most charming young lady). The food matched the service and each course was cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. I especially liked the 'pates de Pezenas', small mince pie looking delicacies (apparently introduced to the town by Clive of India). Delightful refined dining...

We've eaten here often - but mainly for special occasions. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. There are 2 or 3 set price menus. There are usually 3 or more choices in each course but if there is nothing that 'floats your boat' you can choose from the A La Carte and pay the difference. The service is professional and charming.
