Lovely outdoor area (on the main road) in a beautiful period village. Such a shame that from the minute we walked in, the owner and waiters (not the young man) were so rude. Very restricted menu, poor food (apart from the ice cream which is...the only thing not home made). We were a table of 8 and between all of us we tried all 3 starters, main courses, cheese (one choice) and puddings. The goat cheese tart is dry and test less, the pan fried caillette is dry even with the sauce, the tartare is not a steak tartare at all, just chopped beef (poor meat quality) with a parsley and wild garlic, even the side salad and dressing are test less. I don't write any reviews in that, but this was so great I felt compelled to leave this time. we had an absolutely delicious, very reasonable 3-course lunch in this beautiful restaurant. the food was all delicious regional dishes made with local products....The owners were very friendly, let us feel very welcome and translate the menu for us recommend to visit places for us during our stay. every guest st. montan should eat for a bite here. the wonderful ambience friends owners made this a really great experience.
beautiful outdoor terrace. simple menu with a few ok delicious dishes and good local wine. most staff are friendly, but the owner of the dame is really incredibly rude and unprofessional. our child sat completely silent and silent through a 2 hours meal. but he cried once during dessert, the dame owner then told us that we had to leave immediately, essentially throw us out. the friendly people sitting next to us were also totally shocked at the behavior of the dame owners. best for families and groups to avoid.
as always, this small restaurant in its cozy atmosphere, quality of the regional food and the overall value ratio delighted us. I have been here for over 10 years with family and home guests and can highly recommend it. I was particularly pleased that it was open during the calmer autumn months, and not only in the summer when I visited the rule. many thanks for a delicious meal!
