Le Rabassou - Réserver une table

Found this restaurant after a recommendation. The day was overcast and rainy and the terrace, with a view of Mont Canigou, didn't show at its best, but we risked the rain and were seated at a table under a huge tree. The welcome was very friendly and we were served quickly. After struggling to understand an item on the menu we were offered an English translation. There was a set menu for 18 euros, but I had choices from the a la carte menu and my husband sampled the Catalan menu for 25 euros, The meals came very quickly, starting with the aperitifs and olives, I had the 'small' smoked salmon salad with avocado and mango, my husband chose the mussels with aioli, both delicious. I then chose a cod dish and my husband chose the Catalan version of surf and turf, again superb. I finished with the cafe gourmand and my husband the cheese. All of the meals could have been found in lots of restaurants but these meals had an extra dimension of perfectly-matched flavours and garnishing which gave us a very tasty and enjoyable meal.

What a lovely place and way to spend an evening dining on fresh local produce, cooked to perfection! The terrace is perfect for admiring the sun setting behind the Canigo peak and letting kids walk around between meals.My wife and I both chose the €26 set menu, with both of us really enjoying our food. The kids menus were served in between adults which dragged everything about a little, but we should probably have asked for them to be served together.Overall a gem of a restaurant, hidden away and well worth the visit.

In a remote corner of South West France on a Tuesday evening where could we find a restaurant that was open - even of any quality that's a tough question? TripAvisor knows the answer! Thank you TripAdvisor. This little rural bistro type restraurant had a pretty, wide terrace covered by trees and lit with strings of coloured lights giving it a romantic welcoming appearance. The staff were friendly, the food was good, the promotions were generous and the price was €26/head with wine.

Regular visitors of this region - we stopped here on recommendation it is right next to village Vinca where we have some family - after stopping at the lake Vinca we were quite hungry and booked a table - food service and the atmosphere just 5 stars! Def rec!

A great find , tucked away off the main prades to perpignan road. Highly recommended . Service was good and the overall price was very good for what we ordered
