Moret sur Loing is a gorgeous little place, home town of the Frnech Sucre d'Orge sweets, originally hand made by nuns. They are still hamd made though by a family entreprise. The medieval part of the town is a piure joy. Narrow streets, turets, a dungeon, mills, river walks, etc. 2 museums as well and of course a starting point of so many hiking trails. Now the restaurant is just on the way to the church. Typical French inside and not so big. Just the right size so that you feel comfortable. The food was delicious and the prices very, very reasonable. We had the special of the day, 3-course meal. Well if you are not very hungry do NOT go for the 3-course meal. I've been living in Moret sur Loing for 6 of the past 12 months.Time to try out this local place for dinner I thought.Small and cosy. Some cd's instead of the radio would warm the place even more.Prices are average for France. The food was of good quality and value for money.A delicious entree of Rochfort cheese with pear melted on toast…mmmmm :)For main course rump steak cooked to perfection, with mashed potatoes and a small portion of vegetables - all very tasty and totally worth eating.I would thoroughly suggest the chocolate pudding - served with delicious vanilla ice-cream.Overall, an enjoyable experience.

This is the kind of restaurant we are always searching for on our excursions in the countryside but sometimes are so hard to find. One of our better meals so far. Simple, not expensive and delicious. We had a sweet/savory dish of ginnea fowl with lots of veggies and a lamb shank with the best mashed potatoes I've ever had -- excellent. And the frois gras to start was wonderful as well. Creme Brûlée with peaches was great. The server helped us with the menu in English. Looking forward to our return.

We stayed in Moret for a couple of nights and found this absolute gem.Family owned and run, it provided us with a real French culinary experience on both nights. Doing our best with pigeon French we made the simple choice of the "specials" for each of the 3 courses, which were different on each night dependant upon what was available fresh to the chef.Incredibly good value and so welcoming - in 2 nights we felt like privileged special local guests! N'hésitez pas à pousser la porte de ce petit restaurant à la carte restreinte car les produits frais y sont roi, avec 1 choix parmi 4 entrées, 4 plats et 4 desserts. La serveuse souriante, accueillante et attentive. Les rognons à la moutarde maison avec purée faite maison, le médaillon de veau au romarin est excellent. Petite mention spéciale pour le dos de merlu en croûte sur le dessus.

The restaurant is beautifully located next to the church and looks quite modest from the outside. Once you enter you are immediately by warm French hospitality at its best. My wife and I had a very enjoyable lunch and went for the fixed menu for 14 EUR, which offered incredible value for money. We felt swept back in time and it was so nice :-)

Wonderful meal. The staff were very hospitable and spoke English. The menu had a wonderful option of two courses where one could choose between appetizer and main or main and dessert. We did both so we could taste more dishes. The portions were substantial the wine list is limited, which met our needs perfectly.

La formule plat entrée dessert est d'un très bon rapport qualité-prix. J'ai trouvé le supplément à payer pour la moelle un peu abusif, car celle-ci était très liquide. Cependant, l'entrée et le plat étaient très bons. Le personnel était très poli et le cadre très agréable. Je recommande ce restaurant. Réservez une table maintenant
