Le Refuge - Réserver une table

Remember the worst of the country decades ago? It exists still here. A big refurbishment from the quaint before does not justify rude, appalling service and food that this is true inedible. The bread was not cooked and the waiter said that it...was because it was the only thing not made on the premises. The mixed vegetables, which included cauliflower in the middle of summer, and had the appearance of a frozen mixture. We were invited to leave when we expressed our unhappiness at having meat juices tipped on our clothing and when mgt defended this upset we knew we were in a restaurant staffed by people with no understanding of customer service and a kitchen with very little skill. Avoid at all costs and do not be deceived by the setting nor the superficial charm. Quelle honte pour la restauration, pour la cuisine, pour le service et pour ce metier. Ne soyez pas decu pas cette location. Vous etes conseilles de l'eviter. Si un etablissement vous invite de le quitter et de ne plus revenir (ca fait plus que 40 ans que je visite cet endroit) quand on est a faute d'avoir du jus verse sur soi on sait qu'il s'agit d'un restaurant qui ne faudrait pas exister. Tant que la gerance fasse des changements. Nous avons demande le nom du proprietaire mais la femme fache a l'accueil ne voulait absolument pas ne le donner. Bref, une experience infecte et epouvantable.

Under new owners/management this place has now taken the top spot at Gigaro beach. Nice people, willingness to please, to be fast, to offer help also to people who do not speak French. And the food is simply delicious. If they stay in the price...range and do not make the same mistake like Couleurs Jardin near by by elevating prices every year, the will become a gold mine for the new owners as well as for its guests!

The most sublime modern takes on the fresh produce of the Med. Beautiful views on the”ocean” beaches. Fantastic service and ambience! What can I say? Just go!

Again an excellent lunch with great service! A nice table with overview of the bay. Good portions, fresh fish, and nice wine from the region.

Perfect atmosphere, sea view, friendly staff, friendly owner, cosy live music, nice food looking food.
