Le Relais Champenois situated 157 rue Notre Dame in Sézanne, 51120 Sezanne - tel +(33) (0)3 26 80 58 03 - is a very nice and good restaurant to make a stop. The owner is charming and very welcoming and the service team is more than customer oriented and always there to please you. Food and Wines are excellent and very affordable. Obviously you must have a coupe of champagne before starting everything. Then whatever you take from Foie Gras Maison to Salade de Scampi or Croustillant de Chèvre the starters are delicious. Afterward with fish or meat they have the most delicious offer. If you like fish go for the Fillet de Cabillaud et ses légumes vapeurs, delighting. For the dessert do not miss...
J'ai passé une nuit ici. Nous avons eu un accueil très chaleureux de la part du directeur qui s'est également avéré être le chef. Notre chambre était très propre et avait la climatisation. C'était génial car la température était de 40 degrés dehors. Certaines chambres ne disposent pas de climatisation ! Nous avons pris un repas de première classe au restaurant de l'hôtel où le service était très efficace. Nous avons remarqué que de nombreux locaux choisissaient de dîner au restaurant. Le petit-déjeuner continental habituel était servi. Tout le personnel était sympathique et courtois. Un bon choix pour nous.
Nous sommes allés déjeuner en visitant la Champagne. Nous avions faim et sommes allés dans le premier restaurant que nous avons vu à Sézanne sans consulter les avis. Nous avons eu un délicieux déjeuner et le service était très sympathique et très efficace. Nous étions trois à prendre le Parmentier…. c'était très savoureux, servir avec une délicieuse sauce. Un autre ami a pris le poisson et c'était aussi charmant. La 5ème avait les ris de veau et elle a dit qu'ils étaient un peu riches mais délicieux. Nous avons tous eu le menu à 3 plats et tout était délicieux.
Another spur of the moment booking and a lucky choice, our room was on ground floor , spotlessly clean and comfortable, car parking and short walk into centre, we chose to eat in the hotel restaurant and couldn't fault it. My only complaint is the small bar area feels like someone's front room, would have been nice to sit and have a few beers after a long day Will certainly use it again if we are in the area

We recently bought a house in a tiny village outside Sézanne and have been checking out places to eat. So far le Relais has not disappointed and is our favourite place so far. The staff is welcoming, efficient and friendly; the food is not elegant but it's very nice and good value. And the house dessert is fantastic! So is the crème brulée....
