Le Relais des Moines

I have had a home in the region for 10 years and only discovered Relais des Moines at Christmas. I returned because i had enjoyed the meal then and wanted to try the restaurant in the summer on the terrace. The restaurant was extremely Covid cautious with tables spread apart and all staff wearing masks as well as guests as they arrived. We were greeted by a friendly and highly professional lady and throughout the evening the service was excellent... friendly, professional and helpful. We were shown to a table on the inner side of the terrace, even though we stressed that we wanted to sit on the terrace. we asked the waitress if we could have any of the 2-person tables all of which were available. She said she would ask and come back. As we we were waiting, a woman dressed in a dark trouser suit appeared at the entrance. our waitress started to ask the question and I was watching. The manager 's expression changed and she made a dismissive facial gesture showing the table at the very end of the first row, clearly saying 'put them there ', not realizing that I was watching the whole conversation. This was my first visit to Le Relais, my Husband has dined here previously. My experience exceeded expectations. Our table was perfect, on the terrace overlooking the pool beautiful. We had the lunchtime taster menu with pairing wines. Every dish was just perfect, the flavours were exquisite, presentation was outstanding and the wines matched perfectly! The staff were very attentive and relaxed. Can’t wait to go back when we are back at our place in Lorgues.

Une cuisine excellente, sélectionnée et raffinée, très inspirée de la richesse estivale des plantes et des fruits. Beaucoup d'ingrédients d'origine locale. Le sommelier est un pro, très compétent et plutôt inspirant et divertissant. Attention, le « prix net » inclut effectivement la TVA et le service, ce qui n'est pas très clair sur la facture.

La nourriture était vraiment incroyable. Merveilleuse expérience. Présentation exceptionnelle du début à la fin. Nourriture et personnel exceptionnels. Grande connaissance et conseils du sommelier. Nous reviendrons!
