Le Résinier - Réserver une table

We usually read other people's reviews before trying a restaurant. But we had a long drive today and we weren't quite sure where we would be stopping for lunch. The Michelin Guide steered us off the motorway a good 30-40 minutes south of Bordeaux on to secondary roads and we arrived here at 1245 securing the next to last parking space. From the moment we entered the door, the greeting was warm and genuine. We were delighted to be able to eat outside on a warm day in early May. The grounds are beautifully maintained and are very inviting. The menu is fairly extensive featuring many dishes from the local terroir. My wife and I both had thick pork cutlets that were delicious. Nous avons séjourné à l'hôtel Le Résinier pour une nuit. L'hôtel a été choisi sur la base de ses avis sur ses restaurants et nous n'avons pas été déçus ! Le restaurant dispose d'une cuisine ouverte et c'était intéressant de voir l'interaction entre le personnel de cuisine pendant la préparation de la nourriture. Le menu se trouve sur le site internet de l'hôtel et nous avions une bonne idée de ce à quoi nous attendre. Le prix du vin est raisonnable et, ce qui est inhabituel pour la France, il comprend une sélection de vins d'outre-mer. Pour la nourriture, nous avons opté pour Les Suggestions Terre ou Mer à 35 euros pour deux plats, même si des options moins chères étaient disponibles. Ma fem...

We ate here during our bicycle trip. We also stayed in the hotel, but I give it another rewiew because the restaurant was excellent, the hotel was not the same. We had a three course meny and the waiters were very kind and polite evev if their english could have been better. We got a some small degustation between the dishes we ordered, and everything was very tasteful. We can really recommend this restaurant to you. Soem peolple wrot that the coffe was expensive, but we got it togheter with dried friut, a small chocolate mousse, some cakes and nuts. Very tasty.

Nous nous sommes arrêtés ici en route vers l'Espagne. Nous avons tellement apprécié que nous nous y sommes arrêtés à nouveau à notre retour ! L'hôtel est magnifique et possède une belle piscine. Nous avions une chambre familiale et avons emmené notre chien, l'hôtel était très arrangeant avec lui. Nos repas étaient incroyables. Délicieux. C'est un peu cher mais la nourriture en vaut la peine. Nous avons hâte de nous y arrêter à nouveau.

We are en route back to UK from Spain. Forgot how difficult it is to find restaurants open on Sunday night in rural areas. Luckily were advised to try here. We had Le Terrior set menu. Oh delicious escargot followed by confit of duck then cheeses. €130 a bargain. The Beef was cote de boeuf for two people, again great value. A memorable evening and meal
