I don't have much to add to the other glowing reviews of this little spot of paradise by the river. Lovely food, lovely service by charming young staff with real enthusiasm for their work, and a pretty setting at the entrance to the gorges. A real emphasis on fruit and veg, from the potager. It makes a difference in France, where the order of priority is usually meat, sauce, veg on side, to see dishes where fresh vegetables are at the centre.A couple of little details to help fellow travellers:- Good English spoken, so much so that we ended up giving into it despite wanting to practise our French - The menu du jour at 32 Euros gave us around 1.45 hours of meal - not too quick, but not one of...
So, after we sat down underneath a beautiful fig tree close by the river, we choose for a closed eye (les yeux fermes) menu. The lovely staff asks us what we really don't like and if there are any allergies. This is a challenge for the chef: one person who likes fish, the other meat and I am a vegetarian. In one word: AMAZING! We all enjoy the different courses, one by one explained in detail what they just served us, surprised by the quality of the local vegetables prepared with love. Le maître d' knows what he's doing!
We chanced upon this restaurant on a trip up the gorge by motorcycle. We were hungry, it was around 1300 and it was the first restaurant we chanced upon. What a wonderful surprise - excellent ~(and I mean excellent) food, service and location. The chef came out and explained the full menu to us (around 20 minutes), how he cooked it , where he got the ingredients and how he looked after them.Not what we had expected when we stopped as the appearance belies the fact that this place is good - very good!
We were just looking for a place to get our son's food to be warmed, and incidentally stopped at this restaurant, which was an unexpected extra charm to an absolutely wonderful gorge De-Ardeche. When we asked for a menu, and a waitress said: " a chief will come and tell you", I already felt something unusual. And the chef did come, with a handwritten menu of what he could offer us. I'll stop here - go there and you'll hopefully have as much joy as we did.

Depuis les difficultés du Covid, ce restaurant n'a plus d'étoile Michelin et les critiques datant de 2020 et avant ne sont pas pertinentes. Nous avons passé une soirée agréable dans cet endroit magnifique. La nourriture est simple, avec des légumes du jardin et un choix limité, mais superbement cuisinée avec des saveurs délicieuses. Un énorme choix de vins et des prix très raisonnables, tout comme la nourriture. Le personnel est agréable et enthousiaste.
Endroit fantastique incroyable, nourriture maison et vins locaux. Nous avons opté pour le menu fixe de 4 plats et avons pu goûter à de nombreuses spécialités. La truite était délicieuse ! Cadre magnifique et tranquille et le service était excellent. Je recommande vivement ce restaurant. Un petit conseil : apportez un spray anti-moustique car il y a quelques moustiques qui traînent.
Lovely restaurant on the border of the ardeche river. Simple yet excellent service! The food is just amazing. We took the 'menu les yeux fermés' not knowing what the plates would be (we just let them know if we had allergies or food we didn't really like). It was quite the culinary experience. If you are in the region of Vallon Pont d'Arc, do not miss!!
Quelle belle trouvaille, la nourriture et l'emplacement sont délicieux, n'oubliez pas de porter un spray contre les bourgeons, nous ne l'avons pas fait et avons eu beaucoup de bouchées ! Tous les aliments cultivés sur place sont très accommodants pour les végétariens du groupe!

Very friendly staff, top french cuisine with season's fresh ingredients, excellent price/quality , a must visit for everyone not liking all the pizza / fast food places there seem to be around. Just go there : you won't regret it !
Terrasse calme et tranquille près de la rivière. Magnifique menu dégustation de 8 plats avec les vins les plus délicieux. Une excellente façon de passer une soirée... tout simplement fabuleux.
