Le Savoie - Réserver une table

Situated in the centre of Margaux, this was the perfect place for lunch. Le Savoie has several rooms - from simple bistro to more formal dining. We enjoyed our lunch in the pleasant, covered courtyard. My husband chose lamb for the main course and I enjoyed a tender steak, both cooked to perfection. Our desert, fruit zabaglione, was out of this world. This restaurant offers a wide selection of dishes and serves the kind of French food travellers dream of, simply delicious.

We stopped during a day trip in Margaux. Had a 3 course lunch that included a starter with melon and jamon, the main course was a duck breast and for desert we had a sorbet. Everything was very good, they have a lovely terrace. Would recommend if you are in Margaux. The menu was 31 Euro

Nice atmosphere, but lack of professional service brings the experience down to average level. Fixed price menu is a bit overpriced for average fare. Waiters need to have stop drops for the wine bottles. Spills everywhere and they were very blasé about this.

As you can see we were here last year, and we think it has got better. The food as excellent the wine we were advised on was very good. It has more indoor than out door seating and is very nice. If we come this way again we would definitely eat here.

We found this restaurant on TripAdvisor while in Margaux. The food, ambiance and wine were excellent. We will definitely go back again.
