Le St Charles - Réserver une table

Booked in advance (highly recommended for Saturday dining) after checking reviews on TripAdvisor. We were not disappointed, this restaurant close to the centre of the town and the IBIS Hotel where we stayed is exactly what a Brit would hope for from a French restaurant. Charming staff who could not do enough for us, helped us through our rusty French to manage the menu and were suitably attentive without being pressurised.The food was brilliant, clearly freshly prepared and the value was superb. The Gourmet Menu was only Eur 35 each and even with wine and an aperitif it was much better value than restaurants in the UK.A relaxing and charming way to enjoy the evening. I highly recommend this place.

If staying in St. Omer for more than one day we usually try to have a meal at the St. Charles, As it was a Saturday we did book the evening before. We had an excellent meal and there was plenty of choice as we had dietary issues.It is always a very friendly, cosy, restaurant with excellent food. - we will definitely be back!

The bonus for us was that this restaurant was open on a Monday evening, plus the meal was excellent and good value (we chose from the 21 euros menu). The waitress was both pleasant and efficient, the ambience good. There was nothing negative about our dining experience at Le St Charles and we would definitely return.

Our yearly visit to France with friends and as always, ended with a meal at our favourite restaurant. There were 6 of us we booked the day before. As we expected, it was well worth the wait. Simply 1st class. Excellent food, fantastic service. Can't wait to go again.
