Expérience agressivement masculine et anti américaine. Mon ami et moi sommes arrivés pour le dîner, avons demandé à la serveuse expérimentée un plat de pâtes (sans engagement) et soudainement nos menus ont été enlevés de la table. Nous avons demandé que les menus nous soient rendus (ce qui a été fait) car nous étions toujours en train de réfléchir à notre commande. Peu de temps après, les pâtes sont arrivées à notre table. Nous avons expliqué que nous n'avions pas encore commandé notre dîner, notamment nous n'avions pas reçu de pain, ni commandé d'entrées. The authentic Italian food is unparalleled in Paris. We visited twice in one week. The pasta with truffles was outstanding, very generous truffles. The Bravada our group raved about. The two carpochio both beef and fish were Devine. Tiramisu to die for… I have been coming here since 2006, the food, service, is always five star. Thank goodness it is never loaded with tourists, but locals. We love the staff, owners, restaurant and food: I can not rate it high enough for Italian and the experience!!!!
Run by identical twins Tony and Claudio who do literally run their asses off all night long serving loyal regulars a seemingly endless stream of dishes and all done in the best of humour. The menu is small and they’ve removed their famous Spaghetti Belmondo which can nevertheless still be ordered although now not quite as good as it used to be. Only gripe have to say is a rather pervasive whiff of rat poison in the area !
If your idea of an excellent Italian meal includes delicious food, intimate surroundings and discrete service you’ll love this place. Le Stresa is a favorite of Parisians and visitors alike who demand the best but do not care for a “see and be seen” environment. What you’ll find here here is quite, cozy decor and almost complete privacy amongst a small group of discriminating clients.
