I will try my best to describe what we experienced. This place could have easily been exactly the same in 1950. Ambiance? Nothing like it. You want to party? Go elsewhere. Do you want the best old time Parisian fare and environ this side of heaven? Go here. We whispered to each other and soaked in the culture of the past. Wine? Oh yeah. Had the goat cheese salad done in a way I've never seen before. Contained in some ultra thin pastry thing with special seasonings. Great. This place was amazing. Probably my favorite meal in Paris. Went here to try the horse. Went at lunch time and usually horse is only available for dinner. Fortunately, the chef was more than accommodating and brought me horse steak. The meal was absolutely breathtaking. The real surprise of this place was the wine. The chef chose wines that complimented the meals perfectly. They even sell bottles to go. The service was above amazing. Hard to find, because it is in an alley, but a hidden treasure once you find it. Great place. A+ in my book.

I havent been here for about 10 years, and I remember not having the greatest experience, but coming back, i was pleasantly surprised. The place is the same-very old school bistro with plenty of space ! for a French restaurant. The choices were limited, but that wasn't a problem at all. We ordered the chevre appetizer very nice and for the main the beef stew very tasty and the duck perfectly cooked . Service was wonderful and everything arrived promptly and well presented.
