Le Tourne au Verre

We returned after 5 years and once again found the food delicious 8 of us gathered in early September after a market day in Vaison la Romaine in hopes of lunch in this little wayside place. Le Tourne au Verre was buzzing with activity and every table was taken. With limited French, we asked if it would be possible to have a table for a party of 8. The manager was immediately engaged and found 3 tables to join in the outer courtyard under a spreading Plane tree. The procession of servers with cutlery, placemats, napkins and an oversize menu came to the rescue. We had water and glasses while discussing our options of 3 luncheon choices, Tuna tartare, Steak and veal, all of which were selected...

Nous avons déjeuné et dîné ici car nous étions très satisfaits de ce bistro de village local. Ne vous laissez pas rebuter par le maître d'hôtel plutôt austère, il connaît son métier et se fera un plaisir de vous conseiller. La nourriture est de première classe et il y avait même une bonne option végétarienne. Fortement recommandé.

In a party of 6, we stopped here for lunch. The food here was excellent, and I would describe it as traditional local cuisine, rather than something served up for the tourists. Service was excellent, as was the wine. Will return if I get the chance.

Recommandé par un ami et je n'ai pas été déçu. Nous avons tous les quatre vraiment apprécié notre déjeuner, surtout les desserts. Le vin au verre était de très haute qualité. Très bon rapport qualité/prix.

Enjoyed a delightful dinner at this lovely village bistro. Lovely welcome. Great wine by the glass options. Hubby loved his cod and my pasta dish was super tasty.
