Not a fan of the comments from the owner on my review. Had to update his comment to dig a little deeper each time. The owner has a poor attitude towards any criticism, comes across as rather arrogant and even goes so low as to belittle any negative yelpers. Insinuating that I am whining about having to wait nearly 30 minutes for lentil soup, tabouli, fattoush, OJ, lemonade and hummus. Making it sound as if he made the lentil just for my order as with the tabouli and the hummus too. I am stunned at the owners full on assault about my review of his place. Today was my first time trying out this restaurant. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a unfriendly woman. I wanted to order the chicken shawarma and rice lunch special for $10 as advertised, but I have celiac disease so I asked if the rice had pasta noodles in it. The woman assured me that it was plain. I then asked if I could add grilled vegetables to my order, and she said it would be an additional $2. When she told me my total was $18, I asked her to remove the veggies. I have tried a lot of lavender and Middle Eastern food, and I rarely get disappointed, but man oh man, this one was terrible! I stopped for a quick lunch with my family and the place was dirty - the floors and tables were dirty, and there were pictures on the wall where we sat that were covered in grease. How did that even happen? The food was also less than mediocre. The appetizer was greasy and the lamb was chewy. The Fatoush salad with chicken shawarma was not good at all - the shawarma didn't taste like shawarma, the chicken was undercooked, and the greens were old and unappetizing. This was a great experience. The service and the food were outstanding. The owner, Abe, welcomed us and was an incredible host. The pita bread (hot and made on site), the hummus, the garlic dip, the salad all very much on point. Delicious. Then came the shawarma combo (meat and chicken) which was so much food I knew I 'd have a full second meal (I 'm a 200+ lb guy) and did indeed. The rice was very good and the meat was flavorful, grilled very nicely, and succulent. Will definitely make a special trip the next time I am in the Detroit area.

I've ordered take out and dined in with them throughout the years and the last few visits have not been the best. Their garlic dip, juices and sandwiches are all good but their entrees and other items need work. The Veggie Grape Leaves were so sour(too much vinegar, maybe), rice overcooked, French Fries not seasoned, and for the $2 extra charge the grilled veggies were huge pieces of soggy tomato, crunchy carrots, peppers and onions with no seasoning!!! I'm going to stick to their sandwiches and garlic dip, nothing else is worth it!
Even after numerous years, this restaurant remains a reliable option for Lebanese cuisine. The salmon with mushrooms that I had was flavorful and delicately seasoned. I opted for grilled vegetables instead of rice, which were cooked perfectly and had a ratatouille-like taste. The lentil soup was hearty, comforting, and had a subtle warmth to it. The only minor critique I have is that the salad could have used more tomatoes and cucumbers and less (or none) sliced onions. I definitely need to visit this place more frequently.
We got take out from here. Good delivery and no mess. Nothing spilled. I found that the mezza platter was very filling. We ordered food for three people and still had leftovers. The only downfall was that we were expecting 3 pieces of falafel, kibbi and grape leaves each and got two. In the past have gotten three on the platter. I was told that the chicken was amazing with the sauce and flavouring. The roasted potatoes are a must have! All the food pictured minus the square trays to the right of the picture was about $92.
The food was dry and tasteless no seasoning. Very Bland. Will I ever go back? Definitely not. The waitress Did not handle the complaint at all. Poor service. We were the only people in side eating. So disappointing. What a waste of money and not cheap . The ambiance was my warning Empty And lots of seating available. Shame on me for not seeing the red flags And I'm a professional.

The best baba I have ever had! Bread was amazing, rice tabbouli were outstanding. Chicken was very tender just had some chunks of fat/skin but that's traditional : 9/10 overall. Don't pass on this place!
Great and can't say enough about this place!! I ordered the keto bowl and the hummus, both were phenomenal!
