Legal Sea Foods Chestnut Hill

Our birthday party of 10 had dinner at the Chestnut Hill Davios on Monday. It was a quiet night at the restaurant, and they made a lovely party for us. First, the room. The restaurant is on the second floor so feels bright and airy. The table is steakhouse-proper, good white linens, glasses and silver. After we sat down baskets of big popovers came, plenty for everyone, with butter. It is a solid steakhouse menu, To start the kitchen split a Caesar for my husband and me, and correctly gave me all the silver anchovies. The menu is broad. Wow. I recently planned a wedding rehearsal dinner that doubled in size shortly before the event. Alix stepped it up and made it happen. Several guests had celiac and other allergies. Not a problem, the fantastic chef and pastry chef adjusted menus and created one of the best GF AND DF chocolate cakes I've ever had. The salmon entree is a must-have. Excellent, attentive gracious waitstaff was the icing on a beautiful meal and event. Heads up, this restaurant shares an entrance with a movie theatre. No worries, take the elevator to your right or go up the escalators to the second floor. Enjoy this slice of heaven, called the wine room.

I've been to 5-6 Legal Sea Foods restaurants, and this is one of my favorites because it doesn't feel as frenzied as some of the bigger restaurants (like Seaport). The service is great, with prompt attention without feeling like you're being hovered over. The food comes out quickly and the food is consistently great. If there were two things I'd change it's the concrete stairs that bring you up to the restaurant (there is an elevator option) and the men's room not having urinals, which seems a crazy point but prompts a double-take when you walk in and feel like you chose the wrong door.

We visited Davio's for a post-Christmas dinner, treating ourselves to our splurge meal of the year, and it truly lived up to our expectations. The food was expertly prepared, and the caramelized onions served alongside the steak were a delightful surprise. Our waiter recommended the meatball appetizer, which was also delicious. The table service was prompt and efficient. Overall, I would certainly return to Davio's in the future. Réservez une table maintenant

So my husband had the oysters, excellent He had the crab cake combo which was excellent. I had shrimp scampi over the herbed rice pilaf which is how I feel the dish should be served. It’s amazing. Our server Khalid who we have had a few times is so personable, attentive and makes our dining experience such a good one.

Good spot. Pretty big dining area with more expansive seating in the back along the windows. Service was what you'd hope for a higher-end steakhouse. Strip steak was good. Calamari is also very good, especially with the aioli. Large menu options for food and an enormous and diverse wine list.

The fish is consistently good- however I’m not crazy about the sides offered. The menus has changed and some of the ones I always liked aren’t there anymore. Service was excellent, quick and always attentive to our specific requests.

The service was excellent and the food was wonderful. I particularly enjoyed the sesame tuna from the test kitchen, paired with Szechuan green beans.
